6-2 投影に代わるもの The Alternative to Projection

心のなかのわずかな分裂でさえ、必然的にその心の一部を拒絶するに違いないし、これこそまさに分離を信じるということになる。
Any split in mind must involve a rejection of part of it, and this is the belief in separation.

神の完全さ、すなわち神の平安の真価を認めることができるのは、神に創造されたものの完全さに気づいた完全な心だけだといえる。
The Wholeness of God, which is His peace, cannot be appreciated except by a whole mind that recognizes the Wholeness of God's creation.

こうして再認することで完全な心は自らの創造主が分かる。
By this recognition it knows its Creator.

除外と分離は同じことを意味し、分離と解離すなわち切り離して考えることも同じことを意味する。
Exclusion and separation are synonymous, as are separation and dissociation.

以前にも述べたように分離は解離であったし現にそうであり、いったんそれが起こると、（無意識の罪悪感の）投影が分離の主な防衛法またはその状態を継続させる手だてとなる。
We have said before that the separation was and is dissociation, and that once it occurs projection becomes its main defense, or the device that keeps it going.

しかしながら、その理由はあなたが考えるほど明らかではないかもしれない。
The reason, however, may not be so obvious as you think.




あなたは何か（無意識の罪悪感を）投影すると、その何かと自分との関係を否認しており、したがってそれが自分のものだとは信じない。
What you project you disown, and therefore do not believe is yours.

あなたは、「自分が（無意識の罪悪感を）投影する相手と自分は違う」と判断することで、まさしく自分自身を除外していることになる。
You are excluding yourself by the very judgment that you are different from the one on whom you project.

それに自分が（無意識の罪悪感を）投影する何かに対してもそれに反する審きを下してしまっている以上、その何かを分離したままにしておくので、それを責め続ける。
Since you have also judged against what you project, you continue to attack it because you continue to keep it separated.

これを無意識に行い、自分で自分を責めた事実を自覚しないようにし、こうして自分自身は安全だと想像している。
By doing this unconsciously, you try to keep the fact that you attacked yourself out of awareness, and thus imagine that you have made yourself safe.




けれども（無意識の罪悪感の）投影は必ず自分を傷つけることになる。
Yet projection will always hurt you.

（無意識の罪悪感の）投影は自分の心が分裂していると信じるのを強めることになり、その唯一の目的は分離状態を続けることだ。
It reinforces your belief in your own split mind, and its only purpose is to keep the separation going.

それはあなたに、「自分はきょうだいたちと違う」し、「そのきょうだいたちとは別だ」、と感じさせるために自我が使う単なる手だてにすぎない。
It is solely a device of the ego to make you feel different from your brothers and separated from them.

自我はこうすることで、あなたはきょうだいたちより「優れている」ように思わせるという理由で、それを正当化し、かくしてあなたがきょうだいと同等であることをなお一層わかりにくくする。
The ego justifies this on the grounds that it makes you seem "better" than they are, thus obscuring your equality with them still further.

（無意識の罪悪感の）投影と責めること（＝攻撃）とは必然的に関係がある。（無意識の罪悪感の）投影は責めること（＝攻撃）を正当化するための手段となるのが常であるから。
Projection and attack are inevitably related, because projection is always a means of justifying attack.

怒りを感じながらそれを投影しないでおくことはまずありえない。
Anger without projection is impossible.

自我はあなたが自分自身ときょうだいたちの両方について知覚することを打ち砕くためにのみ投影をつかう。
The ego uses projection only to destroy your perception of both yourself and your brothers.

そうした過程は、あなたのうちにあるとはいえ自分の望まない何かを除外することから始まり、すぐに自分をきょうだいたちから除外することへとつながる。
The process begins by excluding something that exists in you but which you do not want, and leads directly to excluding you from your brothers.




しかしながら、すでに学んだように、（無意識の罪悪感の）投影にとって代われるものがあることは確かである。
We have learned, however, that there is an alternative to projection.

自我の能力のどれ一つとってみても、それにはよりよい使い方がある。なぜならそうした能力は心に導かれているのだし、その心にはよりよい御声があるからだ。
Every ability of the ego has a better use, because its abilities are directed by the mind, which has a better Voice.

聖霊は拡張し、自我は投影する。
The Holy Spirit extends and the ego projects.

双方の目標は相反しているので、その結果も相反するものとなる。
As their goals are opposed, so is the result.




聖霊はあなたが完全だと知覚することから始める。
The Holy Spirit begins by perceiving you as perfect.

この完全さは分かち合われるということも知っているので、聖霊はそれを他の者のうちにあるのも認め、こうすることでその完全さを両者のなかで強める。
Knowing this perfection is shared He recognizes it in others, thus strengthening it in both.

これは怒りの代わりに愛を両方によびおこす。それには双方が含まれていることは確かだから。
Instead of anger this arouses love for both, because it establishes inclusion.

平等であると知覚することで、聖霊は同じように必要としていることを知覚する。
Perceiving equality, the Holy Spirit perceives equal needs.

これが贖罪（≒自我の「分離」という間違った思い込みを聖霊によって取り消すこと、それを進める聖霊の計画）を自動的に招くことになる。贖罪こそこの世においてだれもがみな、一つ必要なことであるから。
This invites Atonement automatically, because Atonement is the one need in this world that is universal.

こんな風に自分自身を知覚することが、この世であなたが幸せを見いだせる唯一の方法といえる。
To perceive yourself this way is the only way in which you can find happiness in the world.

そのわけは、自分がこの世にはいないと承認することになるからだ。この世は不幸せそのものであるから。
That is because it is the acknowledgment that you are not in this world, for the world is unhappy.




喜びなどないところに喜びを見いだすには、自分がそこには居ないと悟る以外にどうすれば見いだせるだろうか。
How else can you find joy in a joyless place except by realizing that you are not there?

あなたは神があなたを置かなかったところにはどこにもいるはずがないし、神はあなたを自らの大切な部分として創造した。
You cannot be anywhere God did not put you, and God created you as part of Him.

それはあなたがどこにいるか、そして何であるか、その両方についていっている。
That is both where you are and what you are.

そのことは絶対に変更できない。
It is completely unalterable.

それはすべてを包括する。
It is total inclusion.

今もこれから先も、それを自分で変えることなどできない。
You cannot change it now or ever.

それこそ永遠の真実である。
It is forever true.

信じていることではなく、事実そのもの。
It is not a belief, but a Fact.

神が創造したものは何でも、神と同じように真実である。
Anything that God created is as true as He is.

これが本当であるということは、唯一完全なる神のうちにそうしたものが完全に包括されているということにのみ見いだせる。
Its truth lies only in its perfect inclusion in Him Who alone is perfect.

こうしたことを否定するとあなた自身と神とを否定することになる。一方を受け入れてもう一方を受け入れずにおくことは不可能であるから。
To deny this is to deny yourself and Him, since it is impossible to accept one without the other.




聖霊が申し分なく平等に知覚するということは、神が申し分なく平等に知っているということを反映する。
The perfect equality of the Holy Spirit's perception is the reflection of the perfect equality of God's knowing.

自我の知覚と似た見方など神のうちにはないが、聖霊は知覚と叡知をむすぶ橋としてとどまる。
The ego's perception has no counterpart in God, but the Holy Spirit remains the Bridge between perception and knowledge.

叡知を反映するような方法であなたに知覚できるようにさせれば、究極的には叡知を思い出せる。
By enabling you to use perception in a way that reflects knowledge, you will ultimately remember it.

自我はむしろ、こうしたことを思い出すのは不可能だと信じたがるだろう。しかし聖霊が導くのはほかでもないあなたの知覚である。
The ego would prefer to believe that this memory is impossible, yet it is your perception the Holy Spirit guides.

あなたの知覚はそれが始まったところで終わる。
Your perception will end where it began.

すべてのものは神のうちに集まる。すべてのものは神によって神のうちに創造されたのだから。
Everything meets in God, because everything was created by Him and in Him.




神は自らの思いを拡張して御子たちを創造し、思いを拡張したものを御心（みこころ）にとどめている。
God created His Sons by extending His Thought, and retaining the extensions of His Thought in His Mind.

したがって神の思いはすべて、そうした思いのなかで完全に統一しているし、お互いに完全に統一している。
All His Thoughts are thus perfectly united within themselves and with each other.

聖霊はこうした完全さを今あなたが知覚できるようにしてくれる。
The Holy Spirit enables you to perceive this wholeness now.

神があなたを創造したのは、あなたにも創造させるためだ。
God created you to create.

だがあなたは神の王国の完全さが分かるまで、その王国を拡張することはできない。
You cannot extend His Kingdom until you know of its wholeness.




思いは考える人の心のなかで始まり、そこから広がっていく。
Thoughts begin in the mind of the thinker, from which they reach outward.

神の考えになることについてもこれが本当であるし、あなたの考え方についてもそうだといえる。
This is as true of God's Thinking as it is of yours.

あなたの心は分裂しているので、考えるばかりでなく知覚することもできる。
Because your mind is split, you can perceive as well as think.

けれどもその知覚するということは心の基本的法則を逃れることはできない。
Yet perception cannot escape the basic laws of mind.

あなたは自分の心で知覚し、知覚したことを外へ向かって投影する。
You perceive from your mind and project your perceptions outward.

どんな種類の知覚も実在的なものではないとはいえ、あなたが作ったものだから、聖霊はそれを有効に使える。
Although perception of any kind is unreal, you made it and the Holy Spirit can therefore use it well.

聖霊は知覚を鼓舞して神へと向かせることができる。
He can inspire perception and lead it toward God.

こうして次第に神のもとへと集まるのは遠い将来のことのように思えるが、それはただあなたの心がその考えと完全に一致していないし、したがって今それを望んではいないからだ。
This convergence seems to be far in the future only because your mind is not in perfect alignment with the idea, and therefore does not want it now.




聖霊は時間を利用するけれども、それを信じてはいない。
The Holy Spirit uses time, but does not believe in it.

聖霊は神からきているので、あらゆるものを良いことのために使うが、真実でないものを信じるようなことはしない。
Coming from God He uses everything for good, but He does not believe in what is not true.

聖霊はあなたの心のなかにあるのだから、その心も真実であるものだけを信じることができる。
Since the Holy Spirit is in your mind, your mind can also believe only what is true.

聖霊がただこうしたことのために話せるというのも、聖霊は神に代わって話すからである。
The Holy Spirit can speak only for this, because He speaks for God.

聖霊はあなたに自分の完全な心を神に戻すようにと言っている、その心は決して神のもとを去ってはいないのだから。
He tells you to return your whole mind to God, because it has never left Him.

もしその心が神のもとを去ったためしなどないのなら、それを戻すにはただその心をあるがままに知覚すればすむこと。
If it has never left Him, you need only perceive it as it is to be returned.

それなら、贖罪（≒自我の「分離」という間違った思い込みを聖霊によって取り消すこと、それを進める聖霊の計画）を十分に自覚するとは分離は決して起こっていないと再認することである。
The full awareness of the Atonement, then, is the recognition that the separation never occurred.

これが自我は決して起こっていないと実にはっきり言明しているので、自我はこれに勝つことはできない。
The ego cannot prevail against this because it is an explicit statement that the ego never occurred.




自我はじつにたやすく、その戻す必要があるという考えを難しそうに思わせることができるので、その考えは受け入れられる。
The ego can accept the idea that return is necessary because it can so easily make the idea seem difficult.

けれども聖霊は戻す必要さえないと言う。起こったためしのないことが難しいはずはないのだから。
Yet the Holy Spirit tells you that even return is unnecessary, because what never happened cannot be difficult.

しかしながら、あなたは戻すという考えを必要なことにできるし、難しくすることもできるのは確かだ。
However, you can make the idea of return both necessary and difficult.

しかし完全であるものは何をも必要としないということは本当に明らかだし、あなたが完全であろうとすることを難しいと感じるはずはない、そのすがたこそあなた本来のすがたであるから。
Yet it is surely clear that the perfect need nothing, and you cannot experience perfection as a difficult accomplishment, because that is what you are.

神が創造したものをあなたはこんな風に知覚しなければならないし、知覚するものをみな聖霊の見ている一線へ持ってくること。
This is the way in which you must perceive God's creations, bringing all of your perceptions into the one line the Holy Spirit sees.

この線こそ神と意思の疎通をするための直通線であって、あなたの心を神の御心に近づけてくれる。
This line is the direct line of communication with God, and lets your mind converge with His.

こうして知覚するうちはどこにも葛藤はない、それは知覚がみな聖霊に導かれていることを意味し、その聖霊は御心を神に据えているからである。
There is no conflict anywhere in this perception, because it means that all perception is guided by the Holy Spirit, Whose Mind is fixed on God.

葛藤を解消できるのは聖霊だけだ、なんの葛藤もないのは聖霊だけなのだから。
Only the Holy Spirit can resolve conflict, because only the Holy Spirit is conflict-free.

聖霊はあなたの心のなかの真実だけを知覚し、それを外へ向かって、ただ他の心のなかの真実であるものへと拡張する。
He perceives only what is true in your mind, and extends outward only to what is true in other minds.




自我の（無意識の罪悪感の）投影と聖霊の拡張との違いはきわめて単純。
The difference between the ego's projection and the Holy Spirit's extension is very simple.

自我が（無意識の罪悪感の）投影するのは除外するため、すなわち欺くためである。
The ego projects to exclude, and therefore to deceive.

聖霊は自らをそれぞれの心のなかに認めることによって拡張し、かくしてその心は一つだと知覚する。
The Holy Spirit extends by recognizing Himself in every mind, and thus perceives them as one.

このように知覚すると、そこには矛盾するものは何もない。聖霊が知覚するものはすべて同じであるから。
Nothing conflicts in this perception, because what the Holy Spirit perceives is all the same.

どこに目を向けようが聖霊は自らを見るし、そのうえ聖霊は統一されているのでいつも神の国全部を差し伸べる。
Wherever He looks He sees Himself, and because He is united He offers the whole Kingdom always.

これこそ神が聖霊に与えた伝言であり、聖霊がそれそのものなのだから、そのために聖霊は話さなければならない。
This is the one message God gave to Him and for which He must speak, because that is what He is.

神の平安はそうした伝言のうちにあるので、神の平安があなたのうちにある。
The peace of God lies in that message, and so the peace of God lies in you.

神の国のすばらしい平安はあなたの心のうちに絶えず輝いているが、それを自分で気づくにはその平安が外へ向かって輝かなければならない。
The great peace of the Kingdom shines in your mind forever, but it must shine outward to make you aware of it.




聖霊は全く公平にあなたに与えられている。だからただただ偏見をもたずに見分けることで聖霊を見分けることができる。
The Holy Spirit was given you with perfect impartiality, and only by recognizing Him impartially can you recognize Him at all.

自我は多勢だが、聖霊は唯一である。
The ego is legion, but the Holy Spirit is One.

神の国ではどこにも（自我の）暗闇がとどまることはないが、あなたの役割はただ自分自身の心のなかに（自我に基づいた）暗闇をとどまらせないようにすること。
No darkness abides anywhere in the Kingdom, but your part is only to allow no darkness to abide in your own mind.

こうして光と同調することには限界はない。それはこの世の光であるものと同調しているのであるから。
This alignment with light is unlimited, because it is in alignment with the light of the world.

われわれ一人ひとりがこの世の光であり、こうした光のうちに心を合わせ、共にまた一つとなって神の王国を宣言するのである。
Each of us is the light of the world, and by joining our minds in this light we proclaim the Kingdom of God together and as one.
