Introduction

奇跡のコース。
This is a course in miracles.

必修すべき道である。
It is a required course.

いつ取り組むかということだけはあなたの選択に委ねられている。
Only the time you take it is voluntary.

自由意思とは学ぶ内容を自分で決められるという意味ではない。
Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum.

ただ好きなときに何を取りたいかを選べるだけのこと。
It menas only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time.

このコースは（神からあなたへの）愛の意味を教えることを目指しているのではない。なぜならそれは教えられることを越えているからである。
The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught.

しかしながら、「（神からあなたへの）愛は確かに在る」と自覚することをさえぎるもの（＝自我に基づいた誤った認識）を取り除くということはたしかに目指している。そしてその（神からのあなたへの）愛は（本当は）あなたが生まれながらに受け継いでいるもの。
It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance.

（神からあなたへの）愛に反するものは（自我に基づいた無意識の罪悪感による）怖れであるが、すべてを含み持つものは相反するものを持ち得ないのである。
The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.



したがってこのコースは、次のようにごく簡単に要約することができる。
This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:


       実在的なものは何も脅かされることはない。
       Nothing real can be threatened.

       （自我の投影による）非実在的なものは（本来は）何も存在しない。
       Nothing unreal exists.

       ここにこそ神の平安がある。
       Herein lies the peace of God.
