3-2 奇跡とは本当に知覚すること Miracles as True Perception

私はすでに、この奇跡のコースで言及する基本的な概念は度合の問題ではないと、はっきり言っておいた。
I have stated that the basic concepts referred to in this course are not matters of degree.

ある根本的概念を、相反するものがあるとして見たのでは理解することはできない。
Certain fundamental concepts cannot be understood in terms of opposites.

光と闇、又はあらゆるものと実存しないものとが両立できるとして、心に描こうとしても不可能である。
It is impossible to conceive of light and darkness or everything and nothing as joint possibilities.

それは全部が真実であるか、それとも全部が間違っているか、そのどちらかになる。
They are all true or all false.

いずれかに誠心誠意したがおうと堅く心をきめるまでは、気まぐれなものの考え方しかしていないと悟ることが絶対必要である。
It is essential that you realize your thinking will be erratic until a firm commitment to one or the other is made.

だが、（自我に基づく見方の）暗闇または実存しない状態に対して、それほどの決心でしたがうのは不可能なことだ。
A firm commitment to darkness or nothingness, however, is impossible.

いまだかつて、だれ一人、光をほんの少しも経験したことがないし、何かをほんの少しも経験したことのない者がいたためしはない。
No one has ever lived who has not experienced some light and some thing.

したがってだれも真理を全面的に否定することはできない。たとえそれができると思ったとしても。
No one, therefore, is able to deny truth totally, even if he thinks he can.




潔白であるとは部分的にいえることではない。
Innocence is not a partial attribute.

全面的にそうなるまで本当とはいえない。
It is not real until it is total.

部分的な潔白さしか持っていない者たちは、かなり愚かなことをすることがある。
The partly innocent are apt to be quite foolish at times.

その人たちの潔白さを普遍的に当てはめて見るようになるまでは、それが叡智とはなっていない。
It is not until their innocence becomes a viewpoint with universal application that it becomes wisdom.

潔白な、あるいは真の知覚とは決して誤って知覚することなく、いつも正しく見ることを意味する。
Innocent or true perception means that you never misperceive and always see truly.

もっと簡単にいえば、決して存在しないものを見ないで、いつも存在するものを見るという意味である。
More simply, it means that you never see what does not exist, and always see what does.





もしあなたがだれかのしようとすることを信頼できないと思うとすれば、それはあなたが、その人は正しい心を持ち合わせてはいない、と信じているという証拠。
When you lack confidence in what someone will do, you are attesting to your belief that he is not in his right mind.

これは奇跡を土台として判断するやり方にはほどとおい。
This is hardly a miracle-based frame of reference.

そのうえ奇跡のもつ力を否定するには破滅的な効力がある。
It also has the disastrous effect of denying the power of the miracle.

奇跡はあらゆるものをあるがままに知覚する。
The miracle perceives everything as it is.

もし真理いがいには何も存在しないのであれば、心の正しい状態で見たなら完全であるものしか見ることはできない。
If nothing but the truth exists, right-minded seeing cannot see anything but perfection.

私が述べておいたように、ただ神が創造するもの又はあなたが（神と）同じような意思（≒天意）で創造するものだけが本当に存在する。
I have said that only what God creates or what you create with the same will has any real existence.

では潔白な者が見ることができるのはこれだけだということ。
This, then, is all the innocent can see.

その人たちは（無意識の罪悪感の投影という自我の）歪んだ知覚によって苦しむことなどないのである。
They do not suffer from distorted perception.





あなたが神の意思（＝天意）にたいして恐れを抱いているのは、神が自分のに似せて創造した自分の心を、誤って（自我のパターンに基づいて）創造することに使ってしまったからである。
You are afraid of God's will because you have used your own mind, which He created in the likeness of His Own, to miscreate.

心が自由ではないと信じこんでしまったときにのみ、それは誤って創造することがある。
The mind can miscreate only when it believes it is not free.

閉じ込められた（自我に基づく）心は、それ自体とらわれているか引き止められているので自由ではない。
An "imprisoned" mind is not free because it is possessed, or held back, by itself.

したがってそれは制限されているし、意思そのものはみずから存在を明らかに示そうとしても自由にはできないのである。
It is therefore limited, and the will is not free to assert itself.

ひとつになるとはひとつの心またはひとつの意思（＝天意）となること。
To be one is to be of one mind or will.

子としての身分にぞくする者と父との意思がひとつになって、双方が完全に一致したすがたこそ天国である。
When the will of the Sonship and the Father are One, their perfect accord is Heaven.





父のみ手に自分のスピリットをゆだねる神の子に勝るものは何もない。
Nothing can prevail against a Son of God who commends his spirit into the Hands of his Father.

こうすることによって心はその（自我という幻想を見る）眠りから目覚め、創造主を思い出すのである。
By doing this the mind awakens from its sleep and remembers its Creator.

分離しているとの思いはすべて消滅する。
All sense of separation disappears.

神の子は聖三位一体の一部であるが、聖三位一体そのものはひとつである。
The Son of God is part of the Holy Trinity, but the Trinity Itself is One.

聖三位一体、それ自体の段階においてはなんの混乱もない、それにぞくする存在はひとつの心、ひとつの意思であるのだから。
There is no confusion within Its Levels, because They are of one Mind and one will.

この唯一の目的が完全に統合されたすがたを創造し、また神の平安を確立するのである。
This single purpose creates perfect integration and establishes the peace of God.

けれどもこうした洞察力によってみえることは、ただ本当に潔白な者だけが知覚できる。
Yet this vision can be perceived only by the truly innocent.

潔白な者たちの胸の中は純粋だからこそ、その人たちは真に知覚することに反して自らを守ろうとするのではなく、そのように知覚することを守ろうとするのである。
Because their hearts are pure, the innocent defend true perception instead of defending themselves against it.

その人たちは贖罪の教訓を理解しているので攻撃したいと望むことなどないし、したがって正しく見るようになる。
Understanding the lesson of the Atonement they are without the wish to attack, and therefore they see truly.

これこそ次に引用する文で聖書が言わんとすることの意味である、
This is what the Bible means when it says,

「そのお方があらわれるとき、（あるいは知覚されたとき）私たちはそのお方をあるがままに見るだろうから、私たちはそのお方に*似たものとなることだろう」
"When he shall appear (or be perceived) we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. "

（*日本語の聖書には神に似たものと訳されているが英文の聖書ではそのお方「キリスト」に似たものと解釈されている。）





（自我のパターンに基づく見方の）歪みを正す方法は、そんな歪んだものを信じるのをやめて、そのかわりに真実であるものだけを信じるようにすることである。
The way to correct distortions is to withdraw your faith in them and invest it only in what is true.

真実ではないものを真実だとすることは出来ない。
You cannot make untruth true.

もしあなたが知覚するあらゆるもののうちの、真実であるものを快く受け入れるつもりなら、それを自分にとっては真実とすることになる。
If you are willing to accept what is true in everything you perceive, you let it be true for you.

真実であるものはすべての間違いに打ち勝つ、しかし間違いと空しさのうちに生きる者たちは、決して永続的な慰めを見いだすことはできない。
Truth overcomes all error, and those who live in error and emptiness can never find lasting solace.

もしあなたが本当に知覚すれば、自分自身とほかの者たちにたいして誤って知覚していることを同時にとりけすことになる。
If you perceive truly you are canceling out misperceptions in yourself and in others simultaneously.

あなたはほかの者たちを本来のすがたのままに見るからこそ、これを真実として受け入れると申し出るのであり、そこでその人たちも自分自身の真実を受け入ることができる。
Because you see them as they are, you offer them your acceptance of their truth so they can accept it for themselves.

これこそ奇跡がもたらす癒しというものである。
This is the healing that the miracle induces.
